Position your finger on the center of the sensor.Use the end of your finger, from above your last finger crease to your finger tip.Choose the finger you want to use to comfortably unlock the device (you can add additional fingerprints later).Hold your device as you'd normally hold it when unlocking, for example, with the screen facing you.Following the tips below, scan your fingerprint on the fingerprint sensor, located on your device's power button (not its screen).Next to "Edit fingerprints," tap Set up.At the bottom right, tap the time to open the status area.If you skip that step, set up your fingerprint any time through your device settings.
You'll have the option to register your fingerprint when you first set up your Pixel Slate.
